Sometimes after giving birth & putting on weight over the years it’s difficult trying to find pieces of clothing that hide the tummy. There are ways to do this, just know that you are not alone, all you need is some outfit inspiration, so, read on for some tips & tricks on how to hide tummy fat & still look great!
Dress
A dress with a fitted bodice ending just below the bust that gives a high waisted appearance with a loose skirt, skims the body well & is perfect for hiding the belly & areas that you may be conscious of.
The length also gives a long streamlined appearance.

Tops
A loose top with gathering that hangs straight down & sits perfectly on or just below your waistline does a good job of detracting away from the middle area. Also, it helps if the top has a cute neckline as it will take away the focus from the area. Tops with a ruched waistband look great around the mid-region as they pull you in & give the illusion of a flat tummy
Skirts
Well cut wrap over skirts with vertical stripes, a bold print, or perhaps a bow that ties up on the side is a great cover-up as the stripes elongate the body & the bow adds an elegant touch to the skirt drawing the eyes away from the belly.
Pants & Jeans
High waisted jeans are perfect for hiding the middle. They’re a stunning style give you a well balanced shape, are super flattering & believe it or not, you can tuck a top in & still have a fantastic silhouette.
Leggings
Leggings nowadays are a very popular casual choice, as they’re great for running errands, lounging in & an everyday wardrobe staple. Always go for leggings that tuck the tummy in with a solid, stretchy material. Cropped or full length & depending on the season, you can pair them with a long cardigan, cute tunic style top or a crisp white shirt looks amazing too.
Swimsuit
Swimsuits that are tiered, ruffled & patterned are a fantastic way to cover up the tummy & they suit any body shape.
A solid pattern, or, a lighter top & darker bottom, create the perfect illusion as attention is drawn to the lighter area of the swimsuit.
